Seminars are small group discussions organized and led by staff and we organized a seminar on Cor pulmonale and its management
The Department of Nursing students of B.Sc. (N) 3rd year organized this seminar on 18 August 2023 for GNM 2nd year students (60) Seminar was conducted at Uttaranchal (P.G) College Biomedical Sciences and Hospitals, Dehradun.
The prime objective of the seminar is to bring together individuals who share a common interest in our topic. Through this gathering, like-minded intellectuals and professionals will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, thoughts, and views related to the subject matter. The primary objective is to foster collaboration and learning among participants, with the ultimate goal of advancing knowledge and understanding in the field.
Cor pulmonale Cor pulmonale is a condition where the right side of the heart becomes enlarged due to long-term high blood pressure in the lungs. It can cause symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, and swelling in the legs. The management of cor pulmonale typically involves treating the underlying cause, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or pulmonary hypertension. Medications may also be prescribed to help manage symptoms and improve heart function. It is important to work closely with a healthcare provider to ensure proper management of cor pulmonale.
During the event, students showcased a role-play and a session on cor- pulmonale management, as well as conducted pre and post-tests to enhance their knowledge of the topic. They also created posters detailing the causes, signs, and symptoms of cor pulmonale. Dr. K.P Joshi (PMS/ General Physician) and Dr. Kriti Kaur were invited as guest speakers and their presentations were deemed effective and inspiring by the students.
Overall, this gathering fostered collaboration and learning among participants, with the ultimate goal of advancing knowledge and understanding in the field. and workshop is to assemble like-minded intellectuals and professionals to trade ideas, thoughts and views related to topic finally Students awarded.
