The Guru Nanak Dev Educational Society Group of Colleges celebrated the 71st Republic Day with pride and patriotism. It honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic. The entire college was resplendent in the shades of tricolor. The day was celebrated in the notable presence of our Managing Director Engineer GDS Warne, Director Dr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Deputy Director DK Gupta, Respected Principals, Dean, head of the departments, all faculty members and students. The students of Uttaranchal (P.G.) College of Bio-Medical Sciences & Hospital actively took part in the Programme by delivering speeches and reciting beautiful poems about the glorious day. A skit depicting our rights and duties as citizens of India was also performed. The main highlights of the ceremony were the motivational speech by our Managing Director which motivated all of us to follow our fundamental duties and by our Director explaining the concept of a republic and democracy. Sweets were distributed at the end of the program. This day of Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
