Optometry is a Primary health care profession of the eye and visual system who provide comprehensive eye and vision care, which involves refraction and dispensing, detecting/diagnosis and the rehabilitation of condition of the visual system and examining the eyes and applicable visual systems for defects or abnormalities as well as the medical diagnosis and management of eye disease.

Scope of Optometry Courses
After qualifying Diploma in Optometry work in optician’s eye hospitals and clinics or with multinational companies dealing with vision care and they can also specialize in vision disorders like colour blindness, squint, low vision, vision therapy, Binocular Vision and refractive errors in case of presbyopia.
