WHAT IS MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGY TECHNOLOGY?
Medical Microbiology is a study of microorganisms. Microorganisms or microbes are the living organisms that are only visible under microscope and are not visible to naked eye. Ex. viruses, bacteria, fungi,parasites etc. Medical Microbiology concerns with the infectious diseases caused by microbes. It includes the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of microbial diseases. Medical Microbiologist innovates new diagnostic kits, discovers new drugs with antibiotic sensitivity tests and isolates unique species from extreme environments.
