“36th IIRS Outreach Programme (Basic of Remote sensing geographic Information )”
Introduction: As a part of academic activity, lectures of IIRS outreach programme are organized by Environmental Sciences Department from 4th September, 2018. Students from the Department of Environmental Sciences are attending the lectures given by different faculties & scientist of IIRS, Dehradun. The lecture starts at 3.30pm-5.00pm according to the given schedule. The lectures are easy, understandable, and knowledgeable in all the respect. Lectures provided are covering the basic concept of GNSS and GIS.
About the Lectures
• Introduction to basic remote sensing , GPS and GNSS- by Er. Ashutosh Bhardwaj
• GPS receivers, processing methods, errors and accuracy- by Er. Ashutosh Bhardwaj
• Satellite based augmentation systems and GPS aided and Geo augmented navigation- by Er. Ashutosh Bhardwaj
• GPS signal characteristics, data formats (broadcast, precise ephemeris)- by Shri S. Raghavendra
• Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System- by Er. Ashutosh Bhardwaj
and Shri Kamal Pandey
• Advance GNSS processing- by Shri Suresh Kannaujiya
• Mobile mapping- by Dr. Harish Chandra Karnatak
Conclusion: Lectures by different faculties of IIRS through their experience and knowledge are easy and able to gain student’s attention. The lectures are beneficial for the students and are attended by the students with full interest
